Intermediate Dressmaking Course

Let’s begin with the classic white shirt...

YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO:

• Measure yourself and adjust your pattern

• Select and prepare fabric for cutting and sewing 

• Choose the correct interfacings and trims

• Lay out and cut patterns

• Fit garment and make adjustments

• Attach a shirt collar, button stand and cuffs 

• Make buttonholes amd attach buttons

• Learn industry sewing skills for a professional finish

WHAT TO BRING:
This workshop requires students to bring their own sewing machine, scissors, pins, tape measure, pencil and pattern paper.

Students will need to purchase fabric and trims — the type and amount of fabric required will be covered in the first class. 

​

*A spare sewing machine will be available, if needed.

​

SKILL LEVEL:
This is an intermediate course, using woven fabrics. 

​
