Intermediate Dressmaking Course
Let’s begin with the classic white shirt...

YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO:

Measure yourself and adjust your pattern

Select and prepare fabric for cutting and sewing

Choose the correct interfacings and trims
-
Lay out and cut patterns
-
Fit garment and make adjustments
-
Attach a shirt collar, button stand and cuffs
-
Make buttonholes amd attach buttons
-
Learn industry sewing skills for a professional finish
WHAT TO BRING:
This workshop requires students to bring their own sewing machine, scissors, pins, tape measure, pencil and pattern paper.
Students will need to purchase fabric and trims — the type and amount of fabric required will be covered in the first class.
*A spare sewing machine will be available, if needed.
SKILL LEVEL:
This is an intermediate course, using woven fabrics.
